The Texas Gulf is mostly a silty
sand bottom or mud bottom and the oil
industry placed over 4000 structures off
the coast of Texas. These structures
provided the foundation of marine life
establishing an ecosystem and congregates
large quanities of fish life. These range from the standard reef fish to large schools of pelegics.
