Cozumel is home to Scuba Club Cozumel, the first diver's residence with more than 17 years of experience catering to the enthusiast sport diver. Since its beginning, the Scuba Club Inn has earned an excellent reputation for the friendly and quality service provided to divers above and Underwater. The number of repeat divers year after year is a reliable indicator of the excellent safety record established by this dive operation.
Aware of the divers' needs and in order to facilitate their activities and avoid time wasting, this resort was designed and built by divers to provide complete facilities in one convenient place.
Scuba Club's dive operation is Scuba Cozumel, a Five-Star PADI Dive Center. A full range of basic and specialty courses are available, from "refreshers" and introductory resort courses to full openwater and advanced certifications.
Seven dive vessels are owned and operated by Scuba Club. Boats range from speedy runabouts to custom built flat tops carrying 4-12 divers. The CATS are 43 foot catamarans that can carry a full group together, with plenty of space for equipment. Boats leave promptly every morning from the hotel pier at 9 AM and take you to the reefs non-stop with safety, speed and comfort.
Prime dive sites are located within the six-mile-long Palancar Underwater Park. Divers can explore the tunnels, caves and walls of Santa Rosa and Colombia Reefs. Novice divers and snorkelers will enjoy Paraiso and Yucab Reefs. With its abundant marine life, these reefs are very popular with Underwater photographers.
No spearfishing or specimen collecting is allowed in Palancar Underwater park, and your cooperation in protecting the reefs will be greatly appreciated by this and the next generation of sport scuba divers.
Scuba Club is on the beach and has fifty-five air conditioned rooms of Spanish Colonial design, each with a private bathroom, terrace and refrigerator.
